Saint Monica Jakarta School Junior High School – Preparing Students for a Global Future
Established in 1989, Saint Monica Jakarta School is a Catholic International School committed to providing quality education that develops students academically, personally, and with strong character.
With a strong foundation in Catholic values, we nurture students to grow with integrity, compassion, respect, and a sense of responsibility towards others.
Junior High School is an important stage where students begin to discover their potential, develop critical thinking, build confidence, and become more independent.
At Saint Monica Jakarta School Junior High School, we believe education is not only about academic achievement, but also about developing students who can think critically, communicate effectively, lead with responsibility, and contribute positively to society.
Our Junior High School curriculum combines the OxfordAQA International Curriculum from the United Kingdom with the Indonesian National Curriculum established by the Indonesian government.
Why do we combine these two approaches?
Because we believe every student deserves wider opportunities and more choices for their future.
Through the OxfordAQA International Curriculum, students are prepared with international academic standards, stronger English skills, critical thinking abilities, and the confidence to pursue further education overseas, apply for international scholarships, and prepare for future global careers.
At the same time, the Indonesian National Curriculum provides students with a strong foundation to continue their education in Indonesia and pursue their chosen professions, including becoming doctors, lawyers, and other fields.
Our learning environment encourages students to develop problem-solving skills, creativity, communication, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
We also provide enrichment programs such as English development, Mandarin language learning, Computer Science, and various learning experiences that prepare students for an increasingly global world.
English communication is one of our important focuses. Students are guided to strengthen their academic writing, presentation skills, and confidence in expressing their ideas.
We are also nurturing a strong Mandarin language environment at Saint Monica Jakarta School Junior High School.
Through continuous learning and practical language exposure, students develop communication skills while gaining appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.
We believe that strong language abilities in English and Mandarin will provide our students with greater opportunities and prepare them to confidently face the global world.
Beyond academics, Saint Monica places great importance on leadership and character development.
Through leadership programs, student activities, projects, and daily responsibilities, students learn important values such as discipline, integrity, respect, empathy, responsibility, and teamwork.
Inspired by Catholic values, we guide students to become individuals who care for others, demonstrate kindness, and use their abilities to make a positive impact in society.
During their Junior High School years, students are guided to become independent learners. Our teachers act not only as educators, but also as mentors who support students in developing good habits, managing responsibilities, and reaching their full potential.
With experienced educators, a nurturing environment, and a commitment to excellence, Saint Monica Jakarta School Junior High School provides a place where students can grow academically, socially, and personally.
Our goal is to prepare students not only for the next level of education, but also for life beyond school.
We aim to develop young people who are knowledgeable, confident, compassionate, and ready to become global citizens with strong character.
