Saint Monica Jakarta School Preschool – Nurturing Young Minds Since 1989
Established in 1989, Saint Monica Jakarta School Preschool is one of the first Catholic preschools in Jakarta to integrate curriculum approaches from Singapore and the United States.
For more than three decades, Saint Monica Jakarta School Preschool has been dedicated to nurturing young minds through a strong foundation in brain development, academic growth, leadership, and character building.
With experience educating more than 10,000 students, our achievements are built through years of research, proven educational methods, and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
Our curriculum combines the strengths of two educational approaches.
The Singapore curriculum focuses on strengthening children’s cognitive abilities, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Meanwhile, the American curriculum encourages creativity, exploration, and learning through meaningful play.
This balanced approach supports the development of both the left and right sides of the brain, creating a strong foundation for children’s overall growth.
At Saint Monica, we believe that brain development during early childhood is a precious opportunity.
The foundation of a child’s brain develops rapidly from the first 1,000 days of life until the age of 6, when billions of neural connections are formed.
Our teaching method follows the Pyramid of Learning model, where academic and cognitive skills are introduced gradually according to each child’s age and developmental stage.
We also apply the concept of Multiple Intelligences, recognizing that every child has unique strengths and abilities.
Intelligence is not only measured through academic achievement or IQ, but also through language, logical thinking, creativity, visual skills, physical movement, music, social interaction, and self-awareness.
Beyond academics, Saint Monica Jakarta School Preschool places great importance on leadership and character development.
Every child is given opportunities to participate in leadership activities, helping them develop confidence, independence, responsibility, and the ability to express themselves from an early age.
Through our character education program, children learn important values such as kindness, empathy, respect, love, and positive behavior.
These values become the foundation for children to grow into individuals with strong character and compassion.
To ensure every child’s progress is carefully monitored, we provide comprehensive assessments, including the Indonesian national curriculum report, international progress report, and specialized behavior reports developed with guidance from professional psychologists.
At Saint Monica Jakarta School Preschool, we believe that the ages of 1 to 6 years old are the golden years — the most important stage when children build their fundamental skills, values, and character that will support their lifelong learning journey.
Through a nurturing environment, meaningful learning experiences, and strong values, we guide every child to become a confident, curious, and compassionate individual — ready to face the future.
